Nikki studied her BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and qualified in 2018.
Nikki is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and HCPC registered.
Specialism - Musculoskeletal (MSK), Elderly Care, Sports Rehabilitation
Nikki grew up in South Africa, where following her graduation initially she worked in a large, rural, South African Government Hospital. She then moved into Private Practice where she worked in Musculoskeletal which included the provision of Hydrotherapy, before working with a step down hospital, which provided rehabilitation services after acute hospital discharge. During these 4 years she also managed the rehab for 2 rugby organizations and started a local swim school.
Nikki then started up her own Private Practice, treating in her own clinic or visiting patients at home. She is enthusiastic and passionate about health, believing in a holistic view of health with physical, social and mental well being. She is very hands-on and uses lifestyle interventions thereafter, with her main goal to assist her patients to obtain the most appropriate treatment they need to optimise their healing.
After relocating with her husband to the UK, Nikki now currently works as a Clinical Case Manager for a Private Independent Clinical Company. She works with us at Physiofit West Wales on a part-time basis during week day evenings and weekends.
Nikki is currently studying to become an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner and is also learning Welsh, so she loves to learn from our local clients. Her and her husband enjoy the great outdoors, and are often out on the coastline trail running and camping, they are also very keen cooks!
