After graduation in the Netherlands in 1996, Jeroen worked in various private clinics in Germany before he moved to the UK and took up a post as MSK Outpatients Physiotherapist in South Pembs Hospital in 1997 for 2 years.

Returning to the Netherlands at the end of 1999, he worked 5 years for a corporation of private clinics based in large leisure centres, a GP surgery and a Specialist Spinal (McKenzie) Clinic in Roermond where he further specialised his MSK, Occupational Physiotherapy, Sport Physiotherapy and Manual Therapy skills.

Jeroen and his young family then relocated back to Pembrokeshire in 2004.  Both his wife Renee and himself started working as Senior Community and Rehabilitation Physiotherapists in the local NHS, with Jeroen progressing to a Senior & Lead Physiotherapist within Community MSK, Falls & Frailty and Trauma & Orthopedics as well as the local A&E.

Since 2005 and alongside his work in the NHS, Jeroen developed a growing private general physiotherapy service across various locations in Pembrokeshire - Physiofit West Wales Ltd -.

This has since grown to a team of 10 senior part & full-time Chartered Physiotherapists with a variety of specialities as e.g. MSK, (elite-) Sport, Respiratory, Neuro, T&O, Care of the Elderly, Pre-hab, Falls Prevention and Chronic Condition Management.

The service liaises closely with 3 additional local Independent Senior and Specialist Chartered Physiotherapists who attend the clinic regularly or ad-hoc if needed.

Jeroen and the team are registered with all UK private health insurances and see to patients from a wide source of referrals as e.g. employers, local sport clubs, private hospitals, care homes and mostly direct self referrals.

Where possible and if indicated, the team will always aim to assist in seeking funding support for treatment to cover partly or the full cost from available sources.

Jeroen and the team take great pride and pleasure working with numerous local, regional and national professionals and specialists to assist their patients in achieving the best possible clinical outcomes.

Over the past 19 years in private practice in Pembrokeshire, Jeroen and the team have built up an impressive network of contacts and relationships across the whole spectrum of physical, medical and mental health & well being services with public, primary care, private, 3rd sector and voluntary services to assist their patients if needed.

Physiofit West Wales Ltd was the first Affiliate of the Wellness card®, which supports small and medium size local Wellness businesses and services and allows their members to enter the service at a lower threshold with bespoke discounts.

Jeroen enjoys cooking, DIY and spending time with his family and friends here and abroad. He enjoys and is proud seeing their 3 children growing up in their various stages of their life taking opportunity of the challenges thrown at them with studies, hobbies, friendships, travelling and sport.
